So, you know how I blogged about getting back into writing. I think God just answered my prayer - no he did not put me back in the field with a crew. You see, I do believe that HE works in so many different ways - he put me in a new department!
My boss left the company for a better offer and position in Saudi Arabia (TBH, I think it's gonna be really hard!). Obviously, this got me thinking "will I get kicked out?!" - and trust me I am not a fan of working under stress.
Thankfully, after a few days of wandering and floating in the newsroom, I was asked to meet with one of the big bosses of the company. Like someone who can make a decision in a heartbeat and have it implemented that very second. The first thing that popped into my head was "OK - THEY'RE F*CKING KICKING ME OUT". I wanted to cry. But God is good, they actually offered me a job. Same position, just a different department. A bigger one, actually. I am so used to handling 13 people in my old department. Got that? And I got the shock of my life when I was told that the department they're posting me to is composed of 179 people! I wanted to cry. At first, I got scared, obviously, how that hell am I supposed to handle 179 people - I couldn't handle my life with 13 people, what more of 179?! HAHA.
After a few meetings, I got the gist of the role, purely admin... hopefully no personal shit work but if there is I am ready. I met the supervisors, thank God for supervisors, cause that means I will be dealing with them directly and not with everyone!
Now, what is the connection of all this to me getting back into writing? I was told this job is so much more lighter when it comes to the amount of workload compared to the job I was doing in my old department. Which means, I will have more time to write. More time to well... live a life!
